Ambos Designs is a Mayan inspired, ethical clothing company based in Boulder Colorado. The two founders design locally and collaborate with artisans in Guatemala to create beautiful, unique and socially conscious apparel. Currently the Boulder clothing designers work with over 25 Guatemalan artisans and Mayan women’s cooperatives.

Ambos Designs offers fair trade jewelry in Boulder such as Mayan beaded necklaces, bracelets and earrings. The designers also create original hand crafted leather belts and Mayan inspired clothing that features hand-woven Guatemalan textiles. Naturally dyed scarves, recycled handmade journals, and local boulder earrings represent some of the eco-friendly products. Each design by Ambos is made for you with integrity and love.

The word Ambos, meaning “both” in Spanish, describes the fusion of two cultures. With a passion for cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and humanities, each of Ambos Designs’ projects aim to provide fair wages, work opportunity and preservation of Mayan artistry.

Indigenous Mayan trades such as weaving, embroidery, bronze casting and natural dying techniques are just a few of the crafts Ambos Designs works to sustain. Each project is designed around the skills and available resources of Guatemalan artisans.
