Rafael makes each of these beautiful hand-cut earrings in Ciudad Veija, Guatemala. The teardrop earrings are lightweight and hang delicately from sterling silver hooks. Each handcrafted teardrop is made of a metal alloy of sterling silver, copper, nickel and zinc, giving the earring a gold shimmer.  The lightweight earrings measure 2 inches long by 1.5 inches wide and weigh only 8 grams.

Rafael works side by side with Otto at his home in Ciudad Vieja, where he has lived for the past 14 years. He has raised his daughter and two sons with a strong set of values and believes that work ethic is one of the most important things people can achieve. He has kept his own family safe by sharing his passion for honest work and has provided for all of them as a silversmith. After working for years at one of the large jade manufacturers, Rafael has decided to collaborate with small partners, such as Ambos Designs in order to create a healthy work environment with ethical business practices.
