Ambos Designs' brown leather belts are unique in design and durable. The gold colored, bronze swirl belt buckle is handcrafted and fairly traded at “Bronze,” a family owned shop in Antigua, where we met one of our very first artisans to collaborate with. We were welcomed to the bronze shop three years ago, where Rolando was willing and confident to create his first belt buckle.

The process of handcrafted bronze  buckles began with Rolando and his son gathering earth from the local mountains to create a composite mixture for the moulds. Through a process of pressing and heating the mixture around wooden carvings of our designs, they created molds into which the lava-like bronze is poured. The bronze was left to set for a few days until each buckle was ready to be individually cleaned and polished. Rolando has continued with his own projects to be a successful bronze worker and inspiration.

Ambos Designs' bronze swirl belt buckle is is an original, hand-drawn design. When the bronze buckles are complete, the handcrafted brown leather belts are custom made with Eduardo. Belts are made of 100% genuine leather and can be interchangeable with other buckles by Ambos Designs. Brown leather belts and tan leather belts are available for each handcrafted belt buckle.
