Estela

Estela has been working with her family on Lake Atitlan for year, selling handmade crafts to tourists in Guatemala. Her creativity and eco-friendly projects sets her apart from other vendors in the area, as she makes each of her recycled books entirely unique. Estela hopes to generate income through her handmade journals so that she can help support her family on Lake Atitlan. For this reason it is important for Estela to have access to the global market and to receive fair wages for her work. Estela has worked for years with Ambos designs, creating custom handmade journals. She hand-selects, dries and presses each flower on the recycled wood, then uses recycles burlap and brown unlined paper  to make the inside of each book.
